Welcome to New Song
It is hard to describe how exciting it is for us at New Song when new people come to visit. It is such a privilege to get to know dynamic people such as yourself. I just want to welcome you with open arms to everything that is happening at New Song.
New Song began ten years ago as a group of college students came together to worship and hear how the God of the Bible was still moving powerfully today.
A fire began to grow in that small group of students, and is still burning, just in a new location with new friends!
If you spend a little time at New Song you will probably hear testimonies of God’s healing and restoring work in the lives of the people here. I encourage you to enroll in the next Freedom Class to find out what this powerful work of restoration is all about. We are excited as a church to be in the heart of downtown Tacoma! We love our city and believe God is in the business of restoring joy! Our heart is to see every individual understand the powerful love of Christ! I look forward to meeting you in the coming weeks!

P.S. Our Junior High & High School Services are at the very heart of what we do. They are as important to us as our main service which is reflected in their quality. I encourage everyone in these age groups to attend!
WHAT IT IS LIKE
New Song is a friendly environment to join in worship relevant to young adults and 30-somethings (but even if you don’t fit into these categories- come anyway- all are welcome!). The worship is modern in style and is an alive mix of musical styles.
You’ll also hear a practical Biblical message (probably with a little fire behind it!) that we hope will draw you into a closer intimacy with Christ.
WHAT TO WEAR
Come as you are. We are not worried about what you are wearing. Whatever you normally wear on a Saturday night suits us well (no pun intended).
COME FOR PRAYER?
If you have traveled to New Song to recieve prayer, we would love to serve you in every way we can. Please come down the center isle and we will be glad to connect you with a prayer team. Sometimes we announce prayer, other times we do not. If you have come from out of town we will gladly assist you even if prayer is not announced.
WHAT YOUR KIDS DO
We have a full children’s Ministry every Saturday night! Your kids will be taken care of with the greatest love and care. New Song takes Children’s Ministry very seriously and hope it shows by the smile on your child’s face!
The Mission of our Children’s Ministry:
- To demonstrate and teach the power of the Love of Christ for every child
- To bring restoration to children and families so that they can walk in the wonderful way God designed them
- To see children transformed through Biblical teaching and practical training
- To teach each child how to worship, love others, pray and read their Bibles
Check in Procedures:
- Check-in table opens at 5:30 before the service starts (this is at the Market St. entrance)
- Parents (or an authorized adult) need to sign their children in and out
- You will receive a pager number at check-in, just in case we need to contact you during the service
- Please label all your children’s belongings
- Alert the workers of any needs at check-in
- Snack is provided for children ages 2 and up. Please notify a ministry leader of special needs.
Ages Groups:
- Nursery- 0-12 months
- Movers- 12-24 months
- Toddlers- 24-36 months
- Pre-kindergarten- 3 & 4 year olds
- K-5th- Broken up by grade level groups. (Including 5 year olds not in Kindergarten)
