SOZO & Teen Late Night
(in partnership with Youth for Christ)
For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost. (Luke 19:10 NIV)
The word SOZO is the Greek word translated as "save" in the verse above. SOZO encompasses many different aspects of salvation:
- Restoration
- Making Whole
- Healing
- Protection
- Deliverance
- Preservation
The Ministry of SOZO is about seeing today’s Urban and At-risk Youth fully and wholly restored to their original purpose and walking in their God-given design through a transforming relationship with Jesus Christ.
Ministry Profile
a. Mission To proclaim the life-changing message of the Cross to Urban and At-risk Youth throughout Tacoma, Washington and to see them become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
b. Vision To create a place for Urban Youth to be real, to be heard and where true life in Jesus Christ is defined. The hip hop culture can be redeemed by the blood of Jesus and can be used as a tool to change this generation. These young people will be transformed through the power of the Holy Spirit and the ministry that Jesus came to do, which is: preach the Good News to the poor, proclaim freedom for the captives, recovery of sight for the blind and to release those who are oppressed.

- Jesus Christ above all else, not activities
- People and relationships, not programs
- Making Disciples that can and do spiritually reproduce
- Transformational ministry: true heart transformation, not eternal change (the Kingdom of God in the Kingdom of the heart)

- Service &endash; youth and adults give back to the community; serving and putting others above self is Christ-likeness
- Missions get out of our environment to minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ to others
